In response to President Samarasekera’s statements, as featured in The Edmonton Journal article More Women than Men Making the Grade:

What started off as a hastily-assembled campus activist project (its life-span was expected to be that of a microscopic organism) has garnered surpising local media attention. The poster was (and is) not intended to be used for anything else other than the postering – that already happened - on campus. Thank you for bringing the need for citations to my attention, concerned commenters. I’ve learned that the woman I used in the poster is Whitney Matheson (original image here:  http://media.comicmix.com/media/2008/07/18/candyattack_3-00.jpg), a blogger on popular culture for USAToday. Also, the snappy white fella is from Plan59.com.
